Name: Vinem (vine/venom)
Vinem is a powerful demi-god of the jungle tribes of the deep rainforest. Vinem is the humanoid snake that you see throwing the venomous serpents that manifest from the mess of tangled vines beneath his body when he commands them to in a fight.
His body grows the vines, you can see that they gradually form from it and harden into what looks like scales but is actually bark. Vinem is a brown colour to represent this. In nature when a plant stem matures it always forms a protective bark around it so this is the idea I used for his body. His head slowly turns into a light blue shade from his brown body, it’s more like the flower part of the plant. His collar absorbs sunlight like a flower to continually grow the vines as he throws his snakes and also doubles to keep him balanced because he walks with the vines and if they get to thin, it’s bad news. That’s why he’s an exceptional shot and throws them with the speed of a viper.
The serpents that come from the vines all have to be specifically called on by Vinem. A small venomvine with leaves is the power of his snakes, without it they wouldn’t have venom when they bite their prey. This venomvine weaves its way through the large green jungle vines and they follow it, wrap around it and form a young snake. The longer the snake stays around the tougher and more brown it gets and the venomvine blooms its leaves larger to signify it is more potent to its prey. They act just as plants would in their growing cycles. When Vinem throws the snake, the vine snaps and goes back into the mass and awaits another calling.
